NEI Research Award

New Opportunity for 2026!

 

The Global Ophthalmology Summit will offer 25 NEI Research Award travel grants of up to $1,800 USD to attend and give poster presentation at the 2026 Global Ophthalmology Summit.

Eligibility

Medical students and ophthalmology residents, fellows, or those in their first five years of ophthalmic practice worldwide (in August 2026) with a plan to contribute to global ophthalmology and research. 

To submit an application for this award, you must submit an abstract for the Global Ophthalmology Summit. In your application, you will be required to share your plan (up to 500 words). â€‹

Prize

Approximately 25 awardees will: â€‹

  • Receive travel reimbursements of up to $1,800 USD each to attend Summit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in August 2026.

  • Be invited to present their poster.​​​​​​
